Rebirth of Mothra II is a great sequel to the previous film, a film that targets the whole family and succeeds brilliantly. There's plenty here for kids and adults, but above all, there's an incredible amount for kaiju and Mothra fans. The final fight is a truly astonishing spectacle, not least because of all the transformations that take place. These are the reasons why I like Mothra so much and why the films are so good. Well, except for the fact that they always have interesting scripts. Too bad this is the last film where classic special effects predominate.
