De jonge, getalenteerde artiest Donny komt naar New York om zijn broer Nick te helpen met het runnen van zijn vette nieuwe club. Het is een plek waar de nieuwe generatie dansers hun nieuwe moves kunnen showen. Donny is zwaar onder de indruk als hij Aya ziet, een sexy, elegante danseres die beweegt zoals hij. Hun samenspel tijdens tap, hip hop en taiko drumming smelt samen in een nieuwe stijl zoals hij nooit had kunnen bedenken. Wat hij niet weet, is dat Aya de zus is van Nick’s grootste concurrent; een andere superpopulaire dansclub. Terwijl Donny en Aya als een blok voor elkaar vallen, wordt de competitie tussen hun broers steeds heftiger. "Jeez, another dance kitsch, this time in a Korean-American production. A pseudo-gritty story where there's a boy who has problems with the law and gets involved in a bad game, but above all, he's a dancer who's got it in him. And there's no doubt about that, the boy can dance. However, he also has to fall in love and make a mess, try to get out of it... so there's not much time left for dancing, which obviously has a negative impact on the film. Towards the end, the film turns into a completely exhausted romance that doesn't impress, rather the opposite. The problem is that even the final dance number is nothing exceptional, despite the efforts of the drummers. Yes, it's rhythmic, it moves you, maybe, but it's unlikely to throw you off your seat."
