Engels Song to Song offers a complex, harmoniously depicted palette of the feelings that come with all phases of a relationship. And just when you think that, of all the feelings one experiences in life, the film lacks only the relationships of the main characters with their parents and someone dying, Malick adds those in as well. On top of that, women can enjoy the romantic Ryan Gosling and a rougher Michael Fassbender (reminiscent of his role in Shame), while men will enjoy the sensuous appeal of Natalie Portman and the homoerotic sparks between Bérénice Marlohe and an actress whose name I will not divulge. What more could you possibly want? ()

Engels A compelling love story revolving around a girl seeking (unfaithful) adventures. Malick chews upon feelings again just this time set on a background of festivals and deserted luxury apartments. A meditative experience. Improvisation and unmistakable visuals. Excellent acting performances. Fassbender on top form again. Control money, don’t let money control you. ()

Engels I'm sorry, I wanted to give Terrence Malick one more chance, but I simply don't like his films. He may have the best actors, but his strange camera work and storytelling just don't sit well with me. It doesn't tell me anything and actually, I don't even want to think about the movie because it bores me terribly. ()
