De sportieve girl-next-door Kim Matthews gaat werken als Chalet Girl in het superluxe vakantiehuis van de steenrijke familie van Jonny. De vrolijke Kim lijkt een heel gewoon meisje, maar is wel degelijk skateboard kampioene. Vanwege familieomstandigheden moet ze haar sportcarrière inwisselen voor een saai baantje en de zorg voor haar vader. Ze droomt ervan iets nieuws en spannends te gaan doen en besluit een cursus te volgen om hostess te worden. (Entertainment One Benelux)

Dry English humor, two Bills, a wacky Northerner, a not-so-naive lady, a not-so-blond blonde, and it's all bogged down in clichés. But why not? The mountains were beautiful: white, cold, and attentive. The mountain cabin was unattainable. The exuberance of youth was there, too. Jesus, why not? For me, a relaxing movie that didn't treat me like an idiot, and nothing here was over the top (the mother's resistance, the final reconciliation, or the snowboard drama). And if I was entertained and not bored, why not give it the 4 stars?
