Er was eens een 7-jarig jongetje dat niet goed kon lezen. Hij heette Natanaël. Wanneer zijn tante Eléonore hem een bibliotheek met wel 100 boeken nalaat, weet hij niet wat hij ermee moet. Maar dan komt hij achter het grote geheim: de sprookjesfiguren uit de boeken komen tot leven! Alice in Wonderland, de Boze Fee en Kapitein Haak vragen Natanaël om hulp omdat de sprookjes voor altijd dreigen te verdwijnen. Natanaël moet de magische inscriptie in de bibliotheek ontcijferen.
