An old man and a boy travel around Colombia, encounter different cultural customs of the country and accompany them with the tones of an accordion or drum. The Wind Journeys is a quiet, meditative film with a slow pace, intuitively shot with a wide-angle camera, and a few memorable scenes you won’t see anywhere else (an accordion duel in the ring, a machete duel on the bridge, a baptism with a lizard blood). Those who find Colombia close to their heart, like I find Tibet (Himalaya), can happily add a fifth star to my rating.
