Great, if you look at what those two unintentionally bring upon each other. In this sense, it's truly a ride that you can't help but laugh at. But if it's a joke, it's a shame that the punchline is revealed, or rather sensed, very early on, which takes away from it a bit. Otherwise, it's a successful joke about the consequences of poor communication. And also human nature.
