One day, an aspiring civil servant is invited by his emotionally distant boss (Jiří Lábus) to dinner at a very special establishment. All the guests eat the same food, but it always satisfies them regardless of their tastes. His distrust of his superior and the charm of this bizarre establishment soon turns into an obsession. In this artistically ambitious television project, Kafkaesque and surreal elements combine to create an unsettling and immersive experience. (Febiofest)

The atmosphere is incredible, created by both the stylization of the film and the excellent performances, with Jiří Lábus clearly leading the way. But there's another excellent element here, and that's the television adaptation. It suits it incredibly well because the film is then sufficiently restrained, focusing primarily on relatively small interiors, thus amplifying the overall eerie impression. And besides, you don't really see anything scary. Here, it's beautifully evident that atmosphere is simply crucial.
