I'm sure Sex Maniac won't work for most modern viewers, but I like it because even more than eighty years ago, it aimed to show what it could look like when a maniac goes on a rampage. Yes, it's not naturalistic, but thanks to the special effects used, it's psychological and makes sense overall. The film certainly does not deserve to be forgotten, as it is worth remembering because it was one of the first steps in exploitation.
