Om aan zijn grootvaders laatste wens te voldoen gaat de jonge Goku op reis om de grote meester Roshi te vinden en alle 7 Dragonballs te verzamelen. Helaas probeert de kwaadaardige Lord Piccolo de Dragonballs als eerste te bemachtigen om zo de wereld over te kunnen nemen. Animated it must work, I firmly believe that, but as a 100-minute film it just doesn't work very well. Everything happens so suspiciously fast, the speed at which the film shows the images is ridiculously fast. Plus, it doesn't have a lot of likable characters either... And I still made my way to the next episode :-D It's definitely a shame that I was bored with it, I didn't want to be, I tried to make the boredom go away, but somehow it didn't work... Such a pity.
