Engels Lately, Sandler has been using the same dough to bake a slightly different cake each time (um... an odd metaphor, but fitting). He takes a regular guy who he performs himself, adds a bit of mystical atmosphere and tops it all off with a moral. Nothing so special, but it always works for me, I just have fun watching this kind of movie. Bed Time Stories may not be as sensational as Click was, but I had a good laugh, forgetting for an hour what a bitch life is and taking pleasure in watching Keri Russell (you have to give it to Sandler that his taste in acting partners is damn good). A nice 4. ()

Engels Adam Sandler in his weaker form, where the imaginativeness of the story saves what is lacking in humor. Sandler is more restrained because the story is aimed at children, which means that adults won't enjoy it as much. Still better than "Jack and Jill" though. The supporting characters and figures are great, adding depth to the plot. The problem is that the film follows a pattern and ends with some moral lesson. Additionally, a lot of time is spent watching the same scenes, just performed differently each time. As I said, the imagination of the fairy tales is nice, but if you don't like Sandler, this won't convince you to seek him out.
