In Scary Movie 5 nemen we een kijkje in het leven van het gelukkige echtpaar Dan en Jody. Net thuis uit het ziekenhuis merken ze een aantal bizarre activiteiten op bij hun pasgeboren baby Aiden. Ondertussen probeert het stel hun normale leven als aap-onderzoeker en balletdanseres gewoon weer op te pakken, maar al snel realiseren ze zich dat de familie wordt gestalkt door een kwaadaardige demon. Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen en Mike Tyson spelen zichzelf in de film, wat zorgt voor hilarische taferelen. (Entertainment One Benelux)

This was the last Scary Movie I hadn’t seen and I thought I should watch it, if only because I liked to watch the prequels. But now I know that I’ve made one crucial mistake when I was watching this movie; I haven’t drunk a whole barrel of a 14° beer that would have knocked me out of consciousness and so I would have been able to sit through this disaster thanks to being black out drunk.

A Scary Movie that doesn't star Anna Faris and Regina Hall - rubbish!? In the end, it deserves that one star, mostly thanks to Simon Rex and the "child mutilation" (which worked great in the third one). All that's left of the original touch are the parodies of various films, but they weren't funny at all. The casting of Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen was another nail in the coffin. This sequel should not have been made at all, as it is a disgrace to its predecessors.
