Engels This drama about clean and corrupt cops is surprisingly bland, especially considering the potential of its cast. Colin Farrell and Noah Emmerich are excellent, while Edward Norton’s performance is less distinctive, but the important thing is that they are unnecessary. It’s as if their director had no energy or clear vision, not knowing where to push and where to pull back. It seems like he made this film without concentration or interest, as a form of punishment. In terms of content, it is very similar to, but a much worse than, the recent We Own the Night. ()

Engels An excellent crime movie about police corruption. Apart from the acting performances (nice to see Jon Voight as a goodie for a change), Pride and Glory isn’t anything particularly special, but it’s good to look at and after the final credits you have the pleasant feeling that the world is screwed or else will be very soon. Engels A detective flick that lacks the atmosphere of Harsh Times and the action of Street Kings. It’s not a dud (thanks to the actors), but if there’s any ambitious film with an A-list cast that has left me completely but utterly cold in the genre, other Mann's Miami Vice, it's the clichéd Pride and Glory. 60% ()

Engels Incredibly boring crime thriller that builds interesting relationships within the family, but does so in an incredibly annoying and tedious way. There is only one scene - well, maybe two if I'm being generous - that is really worth it. For a movie where talents like Norton, Farrell, and Voight played, it is really too little, just like for a running time of over two hours. ()
