Things aren't well at Coney Island. After a gruesome decapitation in the spookhouse, Laura and her boyfriend Dan find themselves inexplicably involved in a series of murders in the amusement park. As the bloodshed continues, all fingers point to a creepy carny named Tom and Gimpy, Tom's hunchback assistant. But is there more to the murders than Laura realizes? (Fantastic Fest)

The only familiar face in the movie is Burt Young, whom you'll recognize from the Rocky boxing series. He doesn't turn out to be a great actor, but he handled the silly role he was given quite well. Carnival of Blood is a cheap slasher film, and it shows, but it's precisely this trashiness that makes it something you can endure if you have the stomach for such films.
