Das Märchenland

This documentary, which is a scathing satire of welfare state policies, was directed by Jan Troell, another leading Swedish director of the second half of the 20th century. The film, based on interviews with politicians and scholars, however, made him a lot of enemies in the cultural establishment. (Summer Film School)
