Jules heeft lang geleden een afspraak met Michael gemaakt om te gaan trouwen als ze op hun 28ste nog steeds vrijgezel zijn. De tijd is bijna aangebroken en Jules ziet er erg tegenop, omdat ze helemaal nog niet wil trouwen. Twee weken voordat het zover is krijgt Jules te horen dat Michael gaat trouwen met Kimberly en dan realiseert ze zich dat ze eigenlijk toch erg verliefd is op Michael. Vastbesloten om het huwelijk tegen te houden gaat ze op pad, maar Kimberly blijkt ontzettend aardig te zijn, dus Jules komt voor een moreel dilemma te staan. (Columbia TriStar Films)

Basically it’s very trivial and simple, but it’s a bit of a safe bet thanks to the excellent cast. A politically correct romance that can't be completely disliked. Yes, there may be various opinions about the sentimentality, the cheapness and the predictability of this movie, but the fact is that it's definitely not another one of those wannabe funny comedies. It has very good actors, very entertaining and intelligently witty scenes; it’s a very sincere and highly watchable romance, with a big personal touch. It's not a masterpiece, but it's very entertaining. The ending is also truly unexpected. I remember some scenes by heart.
