The film presents current trends in nature conservation including the connection between the diversity of conservation approaches and the diversity of ecological demands of different species and their habitats. The film answers the question why somewhere nature conservation clearly prefers spontaneous processes (so-called non-interference), while elsewhere very active and long-term care for species/ habitats is necessary. These topics will be demonstrated on a wide range of diverse areas, from almost untouched ecosystems (National parks Èeské Švícarsko and Pody jí) to cultural landscapes, such as urban ecosystems (Prague), or even completely transformed landscapes (e.g. after the extraction of raw materials - landfills).
