Jerry (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is depressief nadat hij gedumpt is door zijn verloofde (Vivica A. Fox). Zijn beste vriend Nick (Horatio Sanz) probeert hem op te vrolijken door met hem op een cruise te gaan. Dit is natuurlijk dé kans om veel vrouwelijk schoon te ontmoeten. Pas als ze midden op zee zijn, merken ze dat er opvallend veel mannen aan boord zijn, waaronder ook Lloyd (Roger Moore) die enkel oog voor Nick heeft. De enige vrouw is danslerares Gabriella (Roselyn Sanchez), die stilaan wat begint te voelen voor Jerry. En het wordt nog beter wanneer het schip een reddingsboot uit het water vist met daarop vijftien zeer aantrekkelijke en gebruinde dames van het Zweedse Bikini Team. Eén van hen is Inga (Playboy Playmate Victoria Silvstedt) die als een blok voor Nick valt. Maar als Nick Inga opzoekt in haar cabine voor een nachtelijke ontmoeting, treft hij daar de coach (Lin Shaye) aan die er voor zorgt dat haar meisjes zich niet met mannen inlaten. Maar op de meest onwaarschijnlijke love boat vinden Nick en Jerry uiteindelijk toch allebei de vrouw van hun dromen... (Paradiso Films)

"Coach’s p****y just blew up" :-D Sometimes I feel like I'm from another world when I give 4 stars to a movie here that has a below average rating. I can't help it though, because I had a great time.

I must admit that this travesty made me laugh a couple of times, and Cuba Gooding Jr. and Horatio Sanz made a rather likable duo, but to base the whole plot on dirty talk, hot guys or shots of sexy half-naked models (which isn’t so bad for us boys) seems pretty lame and doomed to a low rating. Really, until the aforementioned models appeared on the scene, the film managed to disgust me just enough. Yet, even then it's not great, and horny Horatio and amorous Cuba Gooding do their best to entertain, and together with the likeable Roselyn Sanchez and the "charming" Roger Moore they manage to make Boat Trip a watchable and briskly paced spectacle. I wouldn't put this teen comedy in the trash, but I don't need to see it again.

I simply like this comedy. It's a terrible nonsense, but I saw it once when I was younger, maybe in my teenage years, which was probably the most appropriate age, and I laughed my head off at it. It got stuck in my memory, so I wanted to come back to it. Now it's obvious that it's a terrible nonsense, but I still can't help it, the nostalgia is palpable, but there are simply parts that are funny, and also characters that are excellent, or at least sexy (well, okay, there's only one).
