The decline of salmon stocks in the Pacific threatens the lives of killer whales and bears. Marine traffic noise, oil tankers, dams, and disease-spreading farmed salmon are all devastating to these predators. The filmmakers originally focused on an endangered species in the south of the Pacific Northwest, where only 74 wild killer whales can be found. If humanity disturbs the migration of salmon and prevents the animals from accessing their natural food source, they will soon become extinct. This document offers a broader perspective on environmental protection and was produced in collaboration with renowned scientists and indigenous leaders. What can we do to prevent ecosystem collapse?
