Hand-coloured images of woman who behaves like a man – supposedly a re-enactment of a music-hall performance. From the contemporary viewpoint, quite a risqué film to be shot by a female director.
In early cinema, it was common for directors to look for subjects at music halls and their popular dance and pantomimes. At the same time, we here see the practice of women playing men, and more commonly the other way around. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
