Tom Weise is a household name in the gay-escort-scene. In the 1990s he invented the famous “Hustlaball” and set up rentboy.com together with his business partner Jeffrey Davids. The website became highly successful and led to more social acceptance of male prostitutes. Over the course of a decade the German expat organised parties revolving around the rentboy community, connecting escorts and clients. He had come a long way. Previously he had struggled hard: falling out with his parents, HIV positive, he immigrated illegally and with no money to New York and tried to make a living as an escort. During this time he suffered health problems, loneliness and drug addiction. Nevertheless he got his life back on track with infinite vital force. In 2006 Tom met his future partner Keith and slowly recovered from his moving past. Director Jochen Hick (Sex/Life in L.A.; Cycles of Porn) accompanies the protagonist to his final parties in Las Vegas and L.A., the CSD in New York and depicts Tom’s holiday with his boyfriend before he moves back to Germany with him to start a new life.
